Panel: The perspective of NSF graduate research fellows
Activity Details

This activity is the second one related to NSF Graduate Research Fellowship applications. The panelists are recent awardees of this highly competitive national program. Richard Rodríguez, Bianca Dávila, and Alexandra Ramos are recent UPRM graduates who went through the application process and can provide tips and reflect on the endeavor. If you are considering submitting your application in October, you must partake in the activity. For convenience, the panel is an online activity. The PEARLS and RISE-UP projects (NSF-funded) as well as the GRIC and the Material Advantage student organization are co-hosting the event.
The panel in charge of the activity comprises professors Eduardo I. Ortiz Rivera (Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering), Sylvia Rodríguez Abudo and O. Marcelo Suárez (Dept. of Engineering Sci. & Materials). All three have helped former students set up solid applications that helped those applicants obtain the coveted GRF. The panelists have offered these workshops for several years. Many workshop attendees are among the successful fellows.
