Estudiantes graduados, profesores e investigadores:

Es un placer informarles que el Centro para la Investigación e Innovación de Posgrado (GRIC) comenzó a ofrecer sus servicios el pasado 1ro de septiembre. Para conocer más sobre su horario, servicios, políticas de uso, actividades o reservar sus espacios y hacer citas con nuestro personal, visite nuestra guía informativa en: http://libguides.uprm.edu/gric.

Como parte de las actividades de orientación, invitamos a estudiantes graduados, profesores e investigadores a participar de nuestra Casa Abierta este miércoles, 2 de noviembre de 2016 desde las 8:00 a.m. hasta las 7:00 p.m. en los predios del GRIC.

El GRIC está ubicado en el entrepiso del ala sur de la Biblioteca General (http://www.uprm.edu/library/tourvirtual/level1/).

Cuenta con un mobiliario cómodo y flexible, áreas de trabajo colaborativo, Wi-Fi dedicado, múltiples tomas de electricidad y diversas tecnologías, diseñadas para ustedes, sus usuarios. Además, ofrecemos asesoría especializada en: búsquedas de información, gestores de información (Mendeley), prevención de plagio, consultoría en comunicación académica en inglés (oral y escrita) por nuestros facilitadores graduados y ayuda en la elaboración de planes para el manejo de datos de investigación, entre otros.

Para hacer uso del GRIC, usted necesitará la tarjeta de identificación del RUM y una cuenta activa de usuario de la biblioteca. Si no tiene cuenta puede llenar el formulario en línea y pasar por la Colección de Circulación para completar el proceso (http://unilib.uprm.edu/uhtbin/cgisirsi.exe/?ps=mQIQY6UBNU/GENLIBRARY/279740015/122/2015). Si necesita reactivarla, por favor, diríjase a la Colección de Circulación (3er piso, a la derecha) para que pueda ser asistido. Aproximadamente 24 horas después de concluir este proceso tendrá acceso. El GRIC es una zona libre de alimentos y bebidas; agradecemos su cooperación para mantener las áreas limpias en todo momento.

Invitation to the Graduate Research and Innovation Center (GRIC) Open House

Welcome to GRIC!!

Graduate students, professors and researchers:

It is with great pleasure we inform you that the Graduate Research and Innovation Center (GRIC) began offering its services on September 1, 2016. To learn more about its hours, services, policies, activities, reserve a space or make an appointment with our staff, visit our guide at http://libguides.uprm.edu/gric.

As part of the orientation activities, we invite you to our Open House, this Wednesday, November 2nd from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the GRIC, located in the mezzanine of the south wing of the General Library (http://www.uprm.edu/library/tourvirtual/level1/).

GRIC is equipped with comfortable and rearrangeable furniture, collaborative spaces, dedicated WiFi, substantial amount of electrical outlets and a diverse range of technologies, all designed thinking of you, its users. Among other services, we offer consultation in: specialized information searches, citation managers such as Mendeley, plagiarism prevention, and in the development of data management plans. Also, the Graduate Writing Facilitators (GWF) provide peer tutoring in academic communication in English.

In order to gain access to GRIC, you will need to have your campus ID and the library account active. The registration form can be found here (http://unilib.uprm.edu/uhtbin/cgisirsi.exe/?ps=mQIQY6UBNU/GENLIBRARY/279740015/122/2015) and once filled in you will need to stop by the Circulation Collection to finish the registration process. If you don’t have an account or you need to reactivate it, please visit the Circulation Collection (3rd floor, to the right) for further details. Your campus ID will then be activated within 24 hours after the registration process. Please note that GRIC is a food-free zone. We greatly appreciate your cooperation with this policy by maintaining GRIC free of any food or beverages.
